This week brought steady action along the grass flats from Pine Island to Sanibel. Morning tides have held clean water, and bait schools are showing up earlier each day.
- Snook: holding tight to mangroves on higher tides.
- Seatrout: mixed sizes on shrimp and small jigs in 2–4 feet of water.
- Tarpon: pods rolling off the beaches, especially around Sanibel Causeway.
If you’re planning a trip, go early and watch the tide swings — the outgoing has been most productive. As always, respect closed seasons and size limits; keep our fishery healthy.
